Meet Our Manager: Lora Townsend Senior General Manager Koh Winchester and Koh Ringwood
Queen of the Big Hair, meet Lora, our pretty awesome Senior General Manager for our tiny island playground, Koh Noi Winchester and the rather stunning Koh Thai Ringwood.
Lora joined the Koh Family in 2016 as one of our newest but by no means lesser additions. Far from it in fact, as she has a serious claim to stake as the fastest progression through our Koh Academy. Lora was initially recruited into the team in Winchester when the restaurant launched. She joined as a Trainee Assistant Manager, coming from a similar role at Cote Brasserie. Within just six months, Lora took on the Holy Grail status of General Manager and within a year of being at the wheel in Winchester was promoted to Senior General Manager looking after both Koh Noi Winchester and Koh Thai Ringwood!
Beyond her hospitality experience as an Assistant Manager at an independent wine bar, Lora also studied Fashion & Textiles at Winchester School of Art. She still puts that degree to good use through her obvious creativity, flamboyant shirts and world class knitwear.
A little more on Lora:
Lora moved to Winchester seven years ago but is originally from the sleepy town of Eastbourne, East Sussex. Now fully settled in Winchester, Lora even has her own pony down here, pursuing her love for horses (and unicorns). When she’s not working or mucking out the stables you’ll find Lora blasting out some 80s bangers such as Bon Jovi or Bryan Adams and coiffing her incredible big, blonde hair.
What her team say – it’s all about ‘Lora’s Aura‘:
“Lora just has this incredible aura about her. It’s all about her passion for the team and for the restaurant. She makes our Complete Dining Experience just that – complete – with her relaxed positivity that radiates across anyone who walks through our little green door.”
Pop in to see Lora at Koh Noi, Winchester or Koh Thai Ringwood. Her restaurant’s are her baby and you can expect nothing but perfection here. “We have a lot of fun in our little playground. Work hard, play harder.”- Lora Townsend
