The First Koh Lounge Launches in Bournemouth
It has been our vision for some time now, but finally, we are excited to introduce you all to our next evolution of Koh… Koh Lounge.
It all started as our incredibly popular pop-up concept found both on the beach for the Air Show and on the Quay for Christchurch Food Festival, but we wanted to take it to the next level. Now, it has finally found its home in the vibrant heart of The Bournemouth Triangle.
Stood beside our Flagship Restaurant on Poole Hill, Koh Lounge is our welcoming sanctuary where we invite you to “escape the everyday”. All warm lighting, beige colours and golden murals behind day beds, gold lanterns and a striking dark wood bar, we have ventured away from our usual burnt orange tones.
Kick back in the ambient surroundings, engross yourself in the exquisite architecture of the wooden pergola or simply nestle in a quiet corner watching the world go by.
Andy’s aim was to evolve the brand once again to meet the changing needs of consumer trends creating a cocktail lounge, tapas-eatery and event space in one sophisticated setting: “The design is refined and yet inclusive; It embraces heavy influence from Northern Thailand and our cultural home in Chiang Mai with a cosmopolitan twist. We are all extremely excited about this new concept, perfectly at home in our hometown.”
One month on from opening, the venue is already a hive of activity at every point in the day; with bottomless coffee to meet the needs of those hot desking or on business, worldly beers for those on a creative jaunt and as the sun sets, the perfect scene for an evening soirée.
Think Friday Club cocktail gathering; a meeting with colleagues over a creamy latte in the afternoon; a bite to eat with their beautiful sharing platters or a couple of late bourbons at the end of a long week.
And the murals aren’t the only change with our Lounge.
On the menu, the drinks and tapas are equally as distinctive, with carefully crafted cocktails by connoisseur and all round great guy, Wandering Bartender, Max. The beautiful wooden sharing boards are also new with little tapas bites re-invented from your favourite classics in a new dining concept.
Pop in and say hello to Super General Manager and familiar face Mark Hooper as he returns to Koh Bournemouth to take on the Lounge with Max and Bar Manager Mike Bryant.
Andy added: “We have worked very hard both on the design of this venue and with our incredible team of staff to ensure Koh Lounge will offer a continuation of the strong Koh ethos: The best in food, drink, service and atmosphere!”
